Emily Irene VanCamp who initially wanted to become professional dancer was drawn in acting when she visited her sister Katie on the set of the movie Ladies Room. In parallel to studying acting, VanCamp landed a guest spot on a TV show in Canada. She was a part of in a variety of shows, including in the series Are You Scared Of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast in the WB horror/mystery television show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. While the show was praised by critiques, it's poor ratings led to it being ended after nine short episodes. Actually, she was quick in landing a second role as Amy Abbott on Everwood. She was nominated for 4 Teen Choice Awards and a Young Artist Award.
